In response to concerns about his age, President Joe Biden addresses the issue directly in a recently released ad, where he underscores his extensive experience in office while taking a swipe at his predecessor. In the ad, Biden, who is 81 years old, candidly states, “I want to be clear—I’m not a spring chicken. That’s no secret. But here’s the deal: I know how to make things happen for the American people.”

He goes on to highlight his accomplishments in healthcare policy, managing the COVID-19 pandemic, and addressing climate change. Additionally, Biden criticizes former President Donald Trump, asserting that Trump curtailed women’s reproductive rights and failed to pass an infrastructure law during his tenure.

Towards the end of the ad, when prompted for another take, Biden humorously quips, “Look, I’m practically a poster child for youthfulness, energy, and good looks. Why on earth am I putting myself through this?”

Repeated polls have consistently indicated that voters harbor concerns about President Biden’s age as he endeavors to secure another term in office. A noteworthy ABC News/Ipsos poll from February revealed that a striking 86% of Americans perceive Biden as too old for a second term.

In reaction to the ad addressing his age concerns, the Trump team countered by circulating a video compilation. This video showcased select out-of-context clips of Biden encountering challenges while climbing stairs, instances of stumbling, and moments where his facial expressions appeared blank.

Concerns about the president’s well-being gained attention following a report by special counsel Robert Hur, characterizing him as a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”

Nevertheless, during his recent State of the Union address, President Biden addressed the issue, acknowledging that throughout his career, he has faced criticism both for being too young and too old. Despite this, he emphasized his enduring commitment to guiding principles, likening it to the unwavering nature of the North Star.

President Biden expressed the core principle of American equality during a recent statement, emphasizing that the fundamental notion of the nation is based on the equality of all individuals from birth to the end of their lives. He acknowledged that while the country has not always fully realized this ideal, he remains steadfast in his commitment to it.

This statement was part of a broader initiative, with the release of an advertisement being a significant component. The ad is a part of a substantial $30 million advertising campaign launched by Biden’s re-election team, coinciding with his tour of key battleground states
